AAC Simulation and Performance

Slow communication rate remains a concern, even for the most competent AAC consumers. There are few methods available to study the effect of AAC intervention over long periods of time. Performance monitoring has been a first step in better understanding the effects of AAC technology on interaction. Analysis and simulation will provide an empirical basis for developing and customizing AAC technologies that are optimized for real-time interactive communication. This theme will help improve communication efficiency, a goal for nearly all AAC consumers.
